In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx.
TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
Our event is called TEDxChigwell, where x = independently organized TED event.
At our TEDxChigwell event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
TEDx is not-for-profit.
We will rely on partner organisations to cover the costs of the event and to provide services.
There will be an exhibition area at the event for partners to showcase their organisation.
We have a huge number of opportunities here and we're willing to listen to creative ideas.

WHO? WHAT? WHY?
Amardeep Parmar is organising TEDxChigwell after successfully applying for the license.
He was a tech consultant who in the last few years has built a large personal brand and interviewed over 200 people.
Amardeep is a Chigwell resident and thinks it's a tragedy more of us don't know each other.
Amardeep believes there are so many incredible people in the area who have ideas worth sharing.
So TEDxChigwell was born!
